A Really Wild Rewilding SF Bestiary Zine
01
Presented as part of,
more-than-human freedom zine conference
May 2024
A Really Wild Rewilding SF Bestiary Zine explores the potential outcomes of rewilding wolves and the impact this may have on the UK landscape. Imaginal displays of kinship are presented through three case studies: The Lone Wolf, The Pack of Wolves & The Companion Wolf. Drawing from D. Haraway's (2016) notion of 'SF' the zine examines different approaches to care-giving across species, questioning allegories culturally synonymous with the wolf.
This zine, hybrid in form, discusses conservation technique research, critical enquiry into more-than-human relationships and borrows aesthetics found within medieval bestiaries. Collectively creating a performative document inviting the reader to
re-image the wolf.
